About DUER
DUER is a performance lifestyle brand built for the Modern Outsider — active, ambitious individuals who refuse to choose between style, comfort, and function. From No Sweat pants to performance denim, every product we make is engineered to move with you. We are a fast-growing brand with a strong DTC presence, wholesale partnerships, and an expanding global footprint.
Role Summary
The Retail Merchant is a key contributor to DUER's seasonal go-to-market strategy, owning the full assortment across Men's and Women's categories. You will drive line planning, partner with wholesale and DTC buying teams, and ensure the right product is in the right channel at the right time. This role sits at the intersection of product, data, and commerce — ideal for a merchant who is equally comfortable analyzing sell-through and building a seasonal buy.

- Curate and rationalize assortments by channel, balancing carry-over core styles with new product introductions
- Partner with product and design teams during line reviews to provide merchant input on colour, fabric, and silhouette direction
- Maintain style-colour-size matrices for FW and SS seasons in alignment with margin and volume targets
- Manage sample tracking, line sheets, and internal product communication tools across the seasonal calendar
Wholesale & Retail Buying
- Build and develop seasonal buys in partnership with planning for wholesale accounts and retail channels, ensuring depth and breadth align with sales forecast

- Develop launch calendars in alignment with marketing, creative, and digital teams to ensure product storytelling is cohesive
- Build and maintain product taxonomy, naming conventions, and site merchandising hierarchies for online channels
- Coordinate go-live checklists for DTC drops including product copy, imagery, pricing, and inventory availability
Visual Merchandising
- Maintain seasonal in-store VM guidelines that reflect DUER's brand aesthetic and product priorities
- Partner with retail store teams to execute floor sets, fixture layouts, and product adjacencies that drive conversion
- Support creation of VM toolkits and planograms for new seasonal launches, ensuring consistency across all owned retail locations
- Conduct regular store visits to assess VM execution, identify opportunities, and provide actionable feedback to store teams
- Collaborate with marketing and creative on window and in-store display concepts that bring seasonal stories to life
- Ensure product placement reflects sell-through priorities, balancing newness with core carry-over styles on the floor
Data & Analytics / Sell-Through
- Track and report on sell-through, weeks of supply, and inventory performance by style, colour, and channel on a weekly basis
- Identify opportunities for markdowns, replenishment, or reallocation based on in-season performance signals
- Conduct post-season hindsight analysis to inform future line planning and buying decisions
- Build and maintain merchandising dashboards in partnership with the planning and analytics team
- Synthesize competitive and market data to contextualize DUER's performance within the broader performance lifestyle category
