I finally did it, committed and jumped into the overalls.
They're comfortable and super charming, just a win-win.
I find reading reviews which include sizing helpful, so here goes:
5'6" - 115lb, size XS - they're a perfect fit. Wouldn't want them any smaller or bigger.
