What is the water resistance rating for this jean?
This jean has a water resistance rating of 18,150mm (baseline for “water resistance” in the industry is 10,000mm). The Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) comes in at 13,000 G/M2/M24hrs, beating the industry's baseline for moisture wicking fabrics.
Is this jean 100% waterproof?
The jean itself is not waterproof, as we made the intentional design decision not to seal the seams, as this would impact breathability and all around comfort. It is intended to be your everyday - and almost any weather - winter pant, but in downpours you'll still need rain pants.
Is this jean fully windproof?
Thanks to a revolutionary wind and waterproof membrane, this jean will protect you from the elements, keeping you dry and warm for longer.
Is this jean as breathable and stretchy as the traditional L2X Performance Denim?
Both the denim and the membrane are fully breathable, providing you with all the same great attributes you love from our traditional denim, with the added benefit of weatherproofing. Speaking to stretch, the result of applying the wind and waterproof membrane resulted in slightly less stretch than our traditional denim, stretching at approximately 21% rather than 30%.
What is the membrane made out of?
100% Polyester
Is there DWR on the jean?
We opted to not apply a DWR coating to this pant to maintain it’s breathability and stretch, and feel. This pant will protect you from everything but a solid downpour.
Will I get too hot in this jean?
The membrane is fully breathable, meaning you won't get too warm whether you're on the bike or in the office.
What’s the perfect weather for this jean?
Anywhere from those cold days to those rainy Spring mornings! This jean is Weatherproof after all ;)
What is the composition of the denim? Is it the same as the Performance Denim?
Yes, its our signature L2X Denim, 70% Cotton 28% Polyester (Coolmax) 2% Lycra
